We will explore what really happens when you sleep, and how sleeping and dreaming is vital to your physical and mental health, if you have the correct balance.

John Halker is Clinical Director at The Grove Clinic in St. Peter Port, and he also holds a regular clinic at St Thomas’s Hospital in London.
He is an experienced and qualified psychotherapist, and a clinic hypnotherapist with over 25 years experience across a number of different approaches to psychotherapy.  Qualified and trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, Medical Hypnosis, Person-Centred Counselling and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy.
John has an exceptional record in helping people through depression, anxiety, sleep issues, relationships, addictions, bereavement, and stress at work.  He is the in-house psychotherapist and advisor for a number of multinational corporations, and he is a regular teacher of seminars and workshops, as well as a broadcaster and writer on mental health matters.
He has a special interest in helping clients through trauma and phobias, and he consults to PTSD Resolution, a UK charity helping traumatised ex-service people.
